Gemma Sutton Make-up & hair stylist

Gemma is a talented artistic make-up and hair stylist who wanted a website to display photos of her work, information regarding what she does, and a blog.

We worked closely together to ensure the logo and website designs reflect her personality exactly and was achieved by fine-tuning elements such as typefaces and colours. We were careful to stay away from overly girly bright colours, favouring purples and earthy colours. Layout was kept clean and simple in order to maximise the impact of her great photography.

The build was done using WordPress (Content Management System), to which I added my bespoke designed template and my own gallery plugin in order to easily manage her gallery images. WordPress was the obvious choice since it has blogging capabilities in-built, and is extremely easy to use. It allows Gemma to update the website wherever she is, which is perfect since she often travels for work.
