Website Design

I design completely bespoke websites which are tailored to my clients needs. Every one is designed from scratch, without using any pre-designed templates.

I make sure they look great, unique and memorable, and appeal to their target audience.

I also design with good usability in mind, making them very easy and straightforward for users to use. This ensures they complete their goals on the website- whether that is to find the required information, to buy a product, or to get in contact. This in turn provides a positive user experience, which increases return visits and word-of-mouth promotion. It is therefore a very important part of the process, and why good design often quickly pays for itself.

Content Management Systems

Nearly all my websites are based on a Content Management System, which allow my clients to add and edit their site’s content themselves- for instance text, images, videos and new pages. I use WordPress which is free and is refreshingly easy to use, even for non tech-savvy users. It is web-based, which means my clients can edit their website from any computer with internet access, in any country. It is secure and password-protected.

WordPress is a modular system, allowing for additional features to be easily added on to expand capabilities. Typical websites use an image gallery and a blog/news section, with extras such as booking systems, calendars and databases easily added on too.

I make sure my websites are coded in the correct way to be SEO-friendly (Search Engine Optimisation), meaning they stand their best chance of appearing as high as possible in search engine results (like Google).
